The art of the darkest period of the middle ages.
In the High Middle Ages period, things began to change specially for the Catholic religion. The Western Roman Empire was now free from the repression that Romans led in the Early Middle Ages.
Church leaders were focused in gaining more adepts to their side thus they worked in two actions: first, to support the orders that appeared by the initiative of the monks that pushed them, as St. Benedict as beginner of the Benedictines, Saint Francis of Assisi as the creator of the Franciscans.
