While the group of artists members of the Impressionist movement moved together, most of the time, even visiting the same landscapes to copy the same images; these group of artists got tired in a short period of time of doing all the same images, using all of them the same technique and even the colors. So, they started exploring different ways of expression. They tried to forget about landscaping in search of an independent way for expressing emotions rather than simply optical impressions, concentrating on themes of deeper symbolism. Through the use of simplified colors and definitive forms, their art was characterized by a renewed aesthetic sense as well as abstract tendencies.
These group were unaware of the relevance that their pieces would have in the art tendencies of the following years. Each one of them would be an Avant Gardist, considered as an influence for painters of the XX Century.
